When thinking about golf, you think of the idyllic greens, the meticulous planning of shots, and the strategic play involved. Promoting a golf event isn’t too dissimilar. For us though, our course is Facebook, and the target we’re driving for is brand awareness.

Our client’s brief was simple: use Facebook ads to spread the word about their Golf Open Day and bring in potential new members.

Given Facebook’s immense reach and its ability to target specific demographics, we knew we this was a shot we’d be able to take on.

Facebook Ads Campaign Scorecard

The campaign’s results? Astounding! The ad reached a staggering 99,097 individuals. With an average cost-per-click of just £0.57 (£0.50 for those familiar with RCGC and £0.67 for newcomers), it became evident that Facebook ads were not just reaching but also resonating.

This was underscored by the engagement the video ad received: 352 individuals watched the entire video, and over a thousand viewed at least half.

Such metrics emphasised the campaign’s success in not only creating brand awareness but also sparking interest within a relatively small geographic area surrounding the course itself.

The ad’s content was brimming with inviting offers, from free golf rounds and putting lessons to unmissable membership offers.

People who saw the ad would have been made aware of a day of golfing immersion that they otherwide wouldn’t have been privy to.

This was the key to the ad, and indeed any ad. You need to give people something extra. And that’s what Ranfurly Castle Golf Club were willing to do to achieve their goals of bringing in more members.
