Step Down: A Brand Workshop to Remember

Some projects stick with you, and Step Down was definitely one of them. Without a doubt, one of our most exciting and rewarding Brand Workshops to date. Held over two days at the Hilton in Glasgow, the event brought together more than 50 stakeholders from all across the organisation. From frontline staff to leadership, it was a full house of passionate people, all with one shared goal: to create a brand that truly reflects the incredible work Step Down does every day.

Step Down supports young people as they transition from foster, supported, and respite care into independent adulthood. Their work is life-changing, and their brand needed to reflect that.

The workshop was a powerful, collaborative deep dive into who they are, what they believe, and the positive impact they make. We talked values, tone of voice, visual identity, and storytelling, and came away energised by the commitment and care shown by everyone in the room.

The result? A brand that’s bold, warm, and full of heart. We created a new logo, tone of voice, visual assets, and messaging that feel true to Step Down’s purpose.

Every design decision was shaped by real conversations with the people behind the scenes, which is exactly how it should be.

It’s a brand we’re proud to have been part of. And seeing it rolled out across everything from brochures to banners to a newly launched website is simply fantastic.
