Would You Eat This?

Let’s be honest—some of these AI-generated food images look almost good enough to eat. Others… not so much.

As part of the prep for our next round of label photography for one of our clients, we’ve been experimenting with AI-generated visuals to help with concept development and art direction. The results? Surprisingly useful—and occasionally hilarious—how would you like some lime with your mince and tatties?

We’ve seen chicken that looks like it was grown in a lab, gravy that defies physics, and mashed potatoes that might be watching you back. But we’ve also seen some genuinely impressive compositions that speed up our workflow and get ideas on the table faster than ever before.

While we’re (thankfully) still relying on real food photography when it comes to the final product, AI tools are proving to be powerful creative assistants behind the scenes. And the pace of improvement is staggering.

What looked odd and unusable six months ago is now slick, high-resolution, and shockingly realistic. In a few more months? Who knows.

What’s clear is this: businesses that embrace AI now will outpace those that don’t. It’s not about replacing creativity—it’s about enhancing it, streamlining processes, and helping teams deliver more for less.

At Creo, we’re already weaving AI into our creative process—from early concepts to advanced design tools—helping our clients work smarter, not harder.

So, would you eat it? Probably not just yet. But when it comes to saving time, exploring ideas, and staying ahead of the curve, AI is absolutely on the menu.
