We’ve Been Nominated for an Innovation & Technology Award at ROCCO 2025

We’re delighted to share that The Solutions on Demand Group has been shortlisted for the Innovation & Technology Award at this year’s ROCCO Business Awards, hosted by Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce.

At the heart of this recognition is Connect — an AI-powered digital platform developed by Creo Design, in partnership with the University of Strathclyde and UKRI’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme. The platform was designed to address a specific need in the care and education sector: to simplify wellbeing reporting and strengthen collaboration between residential care providers, schools, and local authorities.

Reimagining Reporting in Care and Education

Built around Scotland’s national frameworks — The Promise, GIRFEC, and SHANARRIConnect is already transforming how organisations track and evidence outcomes for the young people they support. Piloted at St. Philip’s School, the platform helps practitioners capture progress in a consistent, trauma-informed way, while reducing the administrative burden that so often gets in the way of meaningful support.

The benefits of Connect stretch across multiple user groups:

  • Care Staff can log observations quickly and accurately, aligning reporting with national outcomes frameworks.

  • Educators gain better visibility of each young person’s progress, allowing them to tailor learning support more effectively.

  • Local Authorities receive high-quality, structured evidence that supports more informed decision-making.

  • Young People benefit from a system that keeps their voice central, capturing achievements and wellbeing holistically, not just through academic measures.

Co-Design in Action

Connect isn’t just another software tool — it’s the result of extensive co-design with the very people who will use it. In our recent Living Labs session at the University of Strathclyde, we brought together professionals from care and education to explore how technology could be shaped to meet real-world needs.

These collaborative sessions surfaced powerful insights, from intuitive user experience design to deeper questions around meaningful outcomes and emotional impact. What emerged was a shared commitment to using technology not as a replacement for human care, but as a tool to enhance and support it.

A Platform with Purpose

Being nominated for a ROCCO Award is a moment of recognition not just for the Connect platform, but for the vision behind it. As part of The Solutions on Demand Group, Creo’s aim has always been to build solutions that are human-centred, evidence-led, and built to make a difference.

We believe Connect represents what meaningful innovation looks like — not just smart technology, but smart technology that listens, adapts, and genuinely supports the people on the frontlines of care and education.

We look forward to celebrating alongside fellow innovators at the ROCCO Awards Ceremony on Friday 21st November at Ingliston Country Club & Hotel.
