New Website Launch for McTaggart Construction

Today, we’re delighted to see their new website go live, but the journey started long before a single page was designed.
It started with a brand workshop.
Building the Foundations

The brand workshop provided an opportunity to explore what makes McTaggart Construction unique and how that should be reflected across every customer touchpoint.
The outcome wasn’t simply a new website.
It was a clear brand strategy that would shape everything that followed.
An Evolution, Not a Reinvention
With more than 80 years of history, McTaggart Construction has built an outstanding reputation across Scotland.
That reputation is one of the company’s greatest assets.
Rather than creating a completely new identity, the goal was to evolve the existing brand into something stronger, clearer and better suited to today’s digital world.

Just as importantly, the brand needed to remain instantly recognisable.
Customers, partners and employees already knew and trusted McTaggart Construction.
That familiarity was something worth protecting.
Refining the Brand
The evolution began with McTaggart Construction’s most valuable brand asset: its logo.
Rather than replacing it, we refined it.
Small adjustments can often have a significant impact.
These included:
- Correcting the stretched primary typography
- Improving the kerning for better readability
- Introducing a stronger, more contemporary secondary typeface
- Creating typography that better reflects the construction industry
- Simplifying and modernising the iconic brand mark
- Creating a more unified identity while preserving its recognisable shape
The result is a brand that feels cleaner, more confident and more adaptable across digital and print applications, while remaining unmistakably McTaggart Construction.
Bringing the Brand to Life Online
Once the strategic and visual foundations were established, our web team began bringing the new identity to life.
Every aspect of the new website was built around the updated brand, creating consistency between the company’s messaging, visuals and user experience.
