2025: A Year of Innovation Projects
How Creo Uses AI to Drive Innovation Projects
Innovation has always been part of how we think at Creo. But in 2025, it became something more deliberate, more ambitious and more embedded in the work we do every day. Alongside our client projects, this year marked a major step forward in how we explore new technologies, experiment with ideas and build tools that solve real-world problems.
One of the most significant innovation projects we’ve worked on is Connect — a digital platform designed to improve communication, reporting and collaboration within the care and education sectors. Built by the team at Creo and The Solutions on Demand Group and in partnership with the University of Strathclyde through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership, Connect represents months of research, design thinking and technical development.
Designing Digital Platforms with Purpose
At its core, Connect was created to simplify complex processes. Using AI and smart automation, the platform supports outcome-based reporting while aligning with key Scottish frameworks such as GIRFEC, SHANARRI and The Promise. For care professionals, this means less time spent on admin and more time focused on people. For organisations, it creates clearer insights, consistency and better outcomes for children in the care system.
ROCCO Award-Winning AI and Innovation Projects
The impact of Connect has already been recognised beyond our own team. In 2025, the platform was awarded a ROCCO Innovation Award by the Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce, recognising the role the platform can play as an emerging technology within a complex and highly regulated sector. For us, it was a proud moment as designers and problem-solvers working at the crossroads of creativity, technology and real-world impact.
Connect is a reflection of how we approach innovation projects as a design agency. We don’t chase technology for the sake of it. We start with people, problems and purpose, then apply the right tools to create practical, impactful solutions.
Using AI and Technology to Simplify Complex Systems
As an innovation-first agency, we’re increasingly using AI, data-led design and emerging technologies to support our clients — whether that’s through smarter digital platforms, more intuitive websites or future-facing brand experiences. Connect is a clear example of how thoughtful design and technology can work together to drive meaningful change.
In 2026, Connect will launch under a new, rebranded name, marking the next chapter of its journey. We’re excited to share more soon.
For Creo, 2025 has been a year of learning, building and pushing boundaries — and it’s set the tone for what comes next.
