Event Photography at Mount Stuart: Capturing Regis Banqueting in Action

Some marketing content is created in a studio. Event photography is captured right in the middle of the action.

Our photographer Cara recently joined long-standing Creo client Regis Banqueting at the spectacular Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute, where the team was catering for a wedding.

Against one of Scotland’s most impressive wedding backdrops, it gave us the opportunity to capture Regis doing what they do best: delivering food, hospitality and service as part of a live event.

The couple had chosen a traditional wedding breakfast followed later by more relaxed food including Regis’ Pie Selection and Indian Mezze, creating plenty for both guests and the camera to enjoy. Regis Banqueting

Event Photography That Shows the Business in Action

There is an important difference between telling customers what you do and actually showing them.

For a catering business, polished food photography of individual dishes is valuable.

But customers also want to see the wider experience.

How does the food look at an event?

How is everything presented?

What sort of venues does the business work in?

What does the service actually feel like?

Event photography helps answer those questions.

Rather than simply saying that Regis caters weddings in spectacular venues across Scotland, professional imagery allows potential customers to see it for themselves.

Mount Stuart is also one of the venues included within Regis Banqueting’s extensive list of venues across Scotland. Regis Banqueting

Turning Real Work Into Marketing Content

Businesses are often sitting on some of their strongest marketing opportunities without realising it.

Every completed project.

Every event.

Every installation.

Every new property.

Every successful customer experience.

They’re all opportunities to create content.

For Regis, event photography at a real wedding creates authentic marketing material that can subsequently be used across:

  • Website case studies
  • Wedding service pages
  • Social media
  • Digital advertising
  • Brochures
  • Venue marketing
  • Email campaigns
  • PR

The imagery has longevity far beyond the event itself.

In fact, Regis has already used the Mount Stuart photography within its own website content showcasing the wedding and catering experience. Regis Banqueting

A Long-Term Creative Partnership

We’ve worked with Regis for a number of years.

That relationship began with strategic brand work, including a brand workshop and refresh, before expanding into the website, marketing and ongoing creative content.

That’s important because good marketing rarely comes from isolated pieces of work.

A brand workshop establishes how a business wants to position itself.

The visual identity brings that positioning to life.

The website creates the digital experience.

Photography then provides fresh, authentic material that keeps that brand alive.

Rather than treating each element separately, they reinforce one another.

Why Consistent Event Photography Matters

One of the biggest challenges businesses face is keeping their marketing fresh.

A website can look fantastic when it launches, but if the same imagery is still being used several years later, it quickly begins to feel static.

Regular photography gives businesses the ability to continually show what’s happening.

New venues.

New projects.

New menus.

New products.

New people.

New experiences.

Regis works across weddings, corporate hospitality and major events throughout Scotland, so there is naturally a huge variety of stories to capture. Recent work featured on its website ranges from weddings at Mount Stuart through to large-scale catering at the Royal Highland Show. Regis Banqueting

That’s exactly the type of ongoing activity that can fuel a strong content strategy.

Great Locations Help Tell Great Stories

Of course, it doesn’t hurt when the location looks like Mount Stuart.

From its architecture to its grounds, the venue created a striking backdrop for the wedding and helped produce a collection of imagery that captures both the occasion and Regis’ role within it. Regis Banqueting

But the same principle applies whether we’re photographing a luxury wedding, a construction project, a restaurant or a manufacturing facility.

The objective is always to identify what makes the business, project or experience worth showing and capture it in a way that helps other people understand its value.

Make Your Work Your Marketing

Businesses don’t always need to invent more things to talk about.

Sometimes they simply need to document the brilliant work they’re already doing.

Professional event photography turns real projects and experiences into marketing assets that can continue working long after the day itself.

For Regis, that means letting future couples and clients see the quality of the food, venues and experience behind the brand.

For another business, the story might be completely different.

The important thing is making sure you’re capturing it.
